Following on from the inaugural Iraq Health Summit held in February 2009, during which Iraq's Health Minister HE Dr Salih Al-Hasnawi outlined the country's comprehensive multi-billion four-year plan for development, this regional event will bring together budget holders and senior purchasers to discuss increased investment in key areas such as public health, pharmaceutical and medical supplies, planning and procurement strategies, new construction projects and human resources development.

The summit will broaden the scope of this exciting new phase of investment, welcoming ministers, deputies and director generals from Iraq along with surrounding countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait and Turkey, with leading government delegations participating in this unique forum to discuss commercial opportunities with international operators and suppliers.

Limited opportunities are available to hold private consultations with budget holders on the fulfillment of their key projects and programmes and to assist Iraq and its neighbours in re-establishing the Middle East region as a leader in global healthcare.
